Multi-panel comic about annoying apps that prompt users too early and too often about reviewing. Panel 1: A person looks at a smartphone and says, "Can't wait to try this new app I've heard about!" A "downloading..." message appears on the screen. Panel 2: The person says, "Nice. Easy to set up, clean interface. Looks like this could be a useful way to–" A pop-up interrupts: "HELLO! ARE YOU ENJOYING THE APP SO FAR?" with Yes and No buttons. Panel 3: The person silently taps the phone to dismiss the prompt. Panel 4: Caption: "Two and a half minutes later..." The phone displays another pop-up: "WE SEE YOU ARE ENJOYING THE APP. WHY NOT LEAVE A REVIEW?" with Yes and No buttons. Panel 5: The screen fills with overlapping review requests such as "LOVING THE APP? PLEASE LEAVE US A REVIEW!", "HELP OTHERS DISCOVER US BY RATING OUR APP?", and "WHY NOT TAKE A MINUTE TO LEAVE US 5 STARS?" A small figure stands beneath the pile of pop-ups, saying, "grrr..." Panel 6: A final dialog box reads, "delete app?" with the Yes button selected.

Thanks to for inspiring this comic. I first found out about his Mr. Grumpypants nickname from his sister many years ago, and also discovered early on that Jeff embraces it quite happily.

More Mr. Grumpypants comics will be forthcoming, I am sure.
