Comic about a friend borrowing a book from another friend who is very picky about the process of lending books. Panel 1: A red-haired person asks, "Hey Esme, may I borrow this book of yours?" Esme, who is reading a book, hands over a form and replies, "Sure. Just fill out this form." Panel 2: Red-haired person looks at a stack of paperwork and says, "There are eight pages." Esme replies, "That's just for the 1st loan. You can switch to the condensed version next time." Panel 3: Red hair person asks, "Wow. You really don't like it when people dog-ear pages in your books, do you?" Esme, still reading, answers, "Nope." Panel 4: Red hair person asks, "What exactly IS a pillory, anyway?" Esme offers another sheet of paper and says, "Want to borrow my dictionary? You'll need to fill out a different form." Comic by Debbie Ridpath Ohi.

This strip is from my Will Write For Chocolate comic, which has been sadly lacking in updates for many years. You can find the original strip here. I have decided to gradually go through my many comics and comic series, and pick out the ones that I think people might still enjoy. For each, I am stripping out my old social media handle (I stupidly included my Twitter id back then, ugh) and old comic strip URLs.
